Stef evolved first from the cocoon/metapod phase and started MC gyvering his exploded outer tyre from the day before using a plastic bottle, needle and thread while Anton messed with a bull and grabbed 'the cows by the horns'. A morning dip to digest a plain breakfast and off we were.
After two hours we decides to try Yuri's rod again, and two local kids came to inform us we were using the wrong bait. With this information we continued the slowly inclining road along the river. Some sketchy hanging bridges provided a pedestrian crossing, but luckily the Tajiks decided to construct decent bridges for the main road as well.
At an altitude of 3000 meters we decided to go for our highest hammock night so far and prepared for a chilly night. During the day we still cycled in t-shirts, but at night frostflakes still tend to form. The altitude is becoming an extra factor, rendering us breathless after the smallest efforts like tieing our shoes. For this reason we decided to stick to a less demanding activity like reading in the afternoon sun. We also agreed not to wear shoes unless it's absolutely unavoidable.
