Oh what a sunny day, flat roads and desert all the way. Enjoying the easy ride we progressed towards Semnan, the first city along the southern way to Turkmenistan. And when the sun's out, gun's out, we cycled in short sleeves and pants for the first time in a long while, stirring up our summer feelings buried somewhere deep in our sixpacks and leaving the iranese veiled ladies drooling.
We found a beautiful marble mansion close to the highway, under the mountain range. The smooth floor instantly received appraisal from all for of us for being excellent sleeping ground, so the decision was made. By now we try to avoid putting up the tent as much as possible, we'd rather sleep outside if the weather allows it. While oli and yuri held the fort, Stef and Anton made it their mission to climb the way to appealing red , barren mountains. At first this was an easy task, but when gravel made way for hard rocky surface the terrain changed and the duo had to cat leap some gaps in order to reach their goal. When the gaps became to big to jump, they agreed they got far enough on the mountain ridges. After catching the last bits of evening sun on top of the hill, it was time to go back. "Race you down?" "Hell yeah!" And so the two ran over the gravel hills back to safer grounds, where their friends had already arranged marble beds to watch the sun set.
