The streets here, as in pretty much all muslim countries, are spotless. This is the perfect excuse to go barefoot, even though the locals don't see it that way. Their loss. In our shoeless shenannigan's we met an English speaking local who wanted to show his beautiful city, and what it has to offer. We visited the bazaar for more precious jewels, some local food shops and finally the impressive holy shrine. In the afternoon, it was time to make a U-turn on our trip south and head back north again. This time we only had one mission in mind, devour as many kilometers as possible. When mr. Davoust's eye sight started to falter for tiredness we decided to stop in Eqlid to ask for directions to a natural spring, they offered us a free carpet bed and breakfast instead. Great succes.
